LOGOUT TAGOUT Safety Awareness (LOTO)

The Lockout-Tagout (LOTO) Safety Awareness course is an internationally accredited, practical one-day programme that teaches the complete life-saving procedure to control hazardous energy during maintenance, repair, and cleaning. Fully compliant with Bahrain Labour Law, Saudi Civil Defence, OSHA 1910.147, SEC, and Aramco/SABIC standards, this course uses real locks, tags, hasps, and isolation devices together with live demonstrations and hands-on exercises on actual equipment. Participants finish able to apply LOTO correctly every time – eliminating the risk of unexpected start-up that causes amputations, electrocutions, and fatalities.

Course Outcomes:

• Identify all forms of hazardous energy (electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, thermal, chemical, gravity)
• Understand legal responsibilities under OSHA, SEC, and local regulations
• Conduct proper energy-source identification and isolation planning
• Correctly shut down, isolate, lock, and tag equipment step-by-step
• Select and apply personal and group lockout devices and tags
• Verify zero-energy state using testing instruments
• Safely release stored/residual energy
• Perform authorised re-energisation and hand-over
• Audit LOTO procedures and achieve 100% compliance during inspections
