Hot Work Safety Awarness

The Hot Work Safety Awareness course is a focused, internationally accredited half-to-one-day programme that prevents fires and explosions caused by welding, cutting, grinding, soldering, and any other spark-generating activity. Fully compliant with Bahrain Civil Defence, Saudi Civil Defence (SFDA), NFPA 51B, and local labour regulations, this course combines clear theory with live demonstrations and practical exercises using fire watch equipment, permits, gas detectors, and extinguishers. Participants leave fully competent to issue, monitor, and execute safe hot work in high-risk environments such as construction sites, petrochemical plants, factories, and shipyards.

Course Outcomes:

• Identify all hot work hazards and common ignition sources
• Complete a thorough hot work risk assessment
• Correctly fill out and authorise hot work permits
• Establish and monitor required fire watch before, during, and after work
• Select and use appropriate fire extinguishers and fire blankets on live flames
• Safely monitor flammable gases with gas detectors
• Implement the full hot work permit-to-work system
• Conduct post-hot-work area inspections (minimum 60-minute fire watch)
• Meet Civil Defence, Aramco, SABIC, and client hot work requirements
