Electrical Safety

The Electrical Safety course is a highly practical, internationally accredited one-day programme specifically developed for anyone who works on or near electrical installations in Bahrain and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Fully aligned with Bahrain Electricity & Water Authority (EWA), Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) standards, NFPA 70E, and local labour regulations, this course combines essential theory with intensive hands-on exercises using real lockout-tagout kits, voltage testers, insulated tools, and arc-flash PPE. Participants learn how to eliminate electrical shocks, arc flashes, and fires – the leading causes of serious injury and fatality in industry.

Course Outcomes:

• Understand electricity basics and the effects of electric shock on the body
• Identify electrical hazards in workplaces and construction sites
• Correctly apply Lockout-Tagout (LOTO) procedures step-by-step
• Select and inspect appropriate arc-flash and shock-protection PPE
• Safely use voltage testers, insulated tools, and grounding equipment
• Establish electrically safe work conditions before starting any job
• Implement safe work practices for live work (when justified)
• Respond to electrical incidents and perform basic rescue
• Comply with EWA, SEC, NFPA 70E, and Ministry of Labour requirements during audits
