Permit To Work

The Permit to Work (PTW) course is an internationally accredited, practical one-day programme that teaches the complete life-cycle of a safe Permit-to-Work system – the most critical safeguard for high-risk activities in industry. Fully aligned with Bahrain Labour Law, Saudi Civil Defence, Aramco, SABIC, and international standards (OSHA 1910.119, HSSE), this course uses real permits, live simulations, and group exercises to master confined space entry, hot work, electrical isolation, working at height, and more. Delegates leave able to issue, receive, monitor, and close permits correctly – eliminating the majority of serious accidents in high-hazard facilities.

Course Outcomes:

• Explain the legal and safety purpose of a Permit-to-Work system
• Identify which jobs require a permit and select the correct permit type
• Conduct proper task risk assessments and toolbox talks
• Complete every section of hot work, confined space, electrical, height, and breaking containment permits accurately
• Perform and verify correct isolations (LOTO, blinding, spading)
• Monitor ongoing work and enforce permit conditions
• Suspend work safely when conditions change
• Close out permits and hand the area back in safe condition
• Pass any Aramco, SABIC, or Civil Defence PTW audit with confidence
